For the Halloween season Wild Rose Casino & Resort Jefferson held a pumpkin decorating contest between its various departments with the pumpkins being displayed during the weekend of October 25-26 in conjunction with its Haunted House exhibit.
The pumpkins were judged by the general public and the winner for the second year in a row was the security department. They opted to give their $250 donation to the Operation Christmas Child sponsored by Jefferson Kiwanis, KDLS Radio and Wild Rose Casino.
Christmas gifts were purchased on the weekend of Nov. 30 when KDLS held a radio blast on Dec. 1 at the casino. Along with KDLS personnel were Jefferson Kiwanians and Wild Rose staff. Wild Rose staff also donated gifts.
Toys and $90 cash were delivered to Teresa Lansman (pictured, center) at New Opportunities on Dec. 4 by Travis Dvorak, general manager of Wild Rose Casino & Resort (right) and Jefferson Kiwanis president Dennis Hammen (left).
